If you are 65 years or older, you can claim an exemption from the parcel tax, for your primary, single-family residence - though here are some reasons why you should consider paying the tax if you are able.

To qualify for an exemption in the upcoming 2008-'09 tax year, you must be 65 or older, on or before June 30th 2009. You must file for the exemption by June 30th, 2008.
